In 1973 the Avanti II used a wiper switch from a Chrysler Imperial. True of False?

(I have a selfish reason for asking this...)

Wow....good question!....I'll have to eyeball my own '73 (RQB-1967) tomorrow and see if that's a Chrysler switch.

I had mine apart a couple weeks ago, and it turned out to be bad wiring and not the switch, but out of interest I tried to find a suitable replacement. This is as close as I could find, and the back of the switch is identical to mine. The knob is different and there isn't a washer button that I know of, though.

And this is one is comparable and much cheaper. I was thinking of buying one "just in case"!

The answer to this question is: FALSE!

With the help of some Mopar guys, we think we have found the right wiper switch! Don't expect to find a replacement at your local FLAPS, though.

It's from a 1972 AMC Matador or Ambassador.

If anyone would have one, I imagine it would be Dan Booth.

Warren, My 76 has the same switch.

From what I've gathered, it was used from 73 to 76, at least. Luckily, I don't need one but it was just bugging me that I couldn't find any information on it.
