Passenger Interior Door Lock

Any tips tricks?  I can get the door to lock using the inside lock.. But it will not unlock.  Drivers side functions fine

Probably worn, an old trick is to put a button head screw in the striker where it pushes in on the "tooth" on the latch further when the door is latched. You can see the tooth at the bottom on the latch, it is the thinner sheet-metal piece, that controls the lock part. You can test the theory by depressing it manually, and then trying it.

Brad.. I’m a little slow so I did not follow your explanation...where the striker pushes in on the tooth

now am i doing this before I take the door panel appart?
