RobStand Posted March 23, 2014 Report Share Posted March 23, 2014 I want to replace the stereo in my '76 Avanti II. It's an aftermarket unit that someone installed in the 80s. Before I tackle this job, I thought I'd check and see if there's anything special. Do I need to remove the speaker from the dash? plwindish Posted March 23, 2014 Report Share Posted March 23, 2014 There's no speaker in the dash to mess with. Loosen the 4 screws to remove the grill covering the hole. It shouldn't be too difficult. My 76 now has a sony in place of the Blaupont that was past its prime. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
