RobStand Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 I'm looking for replacement window switches for my 1976 Avanti II (RQB-2427). Does anyone know the source of these switches or what type they are? I'm having trouble tracking down the information to get my search underway. They are the black switches that sit four in a row on the console (window, aux lights, deicer, window). Thanks! Robert RQB-2427
Gunslinger Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 Check with Dan Booth at Nostalgic. You might also take them to an electrical supplier...if I'm not mistaken, I believe they're pretty standard bat handle switches that automatically return to center "off" position for the windows. The defroster and auxiliary light switches probably have fixed on/off positions.
RobStand Posted March 2, 2014 Author Report Posted March 2, 2014 They are DPDT momentary toggle switches, all four of them. Pushing them down reverses the polarity. My electrical engineer friend helped me figure it out.
kboyd Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Do a Google search for "Duckbill Toggle Switches" and you should find something that will work.
