rdmaxon
Of the approximately 50 GM F-body Avantis built, how many of those were coupes? With or without T-Tops,doesn't matter to me either way. If one came up for sale I believe I'd have to give it some serious consideration. Thanks. RD Maxon
Gunslinger
I don't have hard numbers but I think a minority were coupes...and to the best of my knowledge all coupes were T-Tops. The only solid roof coupe I know of was one of the AVX's that were built during the '90s. Even though the convertibles carried a higher MSRP, the coupes were more difficult to build as the roof and rear lift gate had to be fabricated and fitted. The convertibles simply used the existing F-body top and mechanism. The one person who can probably answer the question is John Hull...he has copies of most, if not all production records from 2001-2007.
