Ryunker Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 Is there a way to drain all of the coolant from my (fater in laws) '67 Avanti II w/327? I know on all my ford stuff there are drain plugs in the side of the block to get out the last 7 quarts or so. Is it the same on the GM? Any ideas please let me know. BobS Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 I'm gonna guess that each install is somewhat different but to fill my 83 Avanti with 355 SBC, New high capacity aluminum radiator and heater took about 2.5 gallons of antifreeze. When mixed 50/50 it adds up to 4.5 to 5 gallons total capacity. Bob Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gunslinger Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 If you want to be sure the mix is right, get the pre-mixed coolant...already 50-50% right from the jug.
