I found a replacement switch for both the door lock and the power window switchs on my '87 Avanti that is a direct plug-in.. It is Cole Hersee PN 58027-18. It is matte in appearance, so it is not smooth like the orginal. It has no markings, but the markings for my door locks are decals. The switch is a four pole and will not have to be soldered like the orginal power window switchs. My '87 Avanti uses a four pole switch for the door locks and a six pole switch for the power windows, the six pole switchs have soldered wires to operate like the four pole switch. Avanti must have modified the six pole switch because it has the UP and Down on the switch or because the six pole is less cost. I have also used a switch from this series for my rear window defroster.

4-pole PN 58027-18 about $15.00, 6-pole PN 58027-11 about $10.00.
