Thanks. I have the schematics but they do not show where the loom actually passes thru the body. Was this channel in the body below the fuel tank used for the wire loom? will have to pull the carpet to see if the channel continues

Working on a 63 started but not completed by someone else. I found the wire loom for the rear of the car laying above the fuel tank with no connector just cut wires. I found a connector under the dash withe the same wire colors. From the tank enclosure where did the wire loom exit and where would it have entered into the dash cavity to connect to the rest of the wire loom. My signal switch and horn wires exit the steering column with bullet connectors on each wire with no corresponding connectors for them to connect to. There is a unused 6 prong connector with similar but not exact color wires. was there a missing connector that mated these two together? Thanks for any information. Pictures of your wire looms would be appreciated

Looking for a rear bumper for my 63 and the hood support

So in this Avanti the exhaust has been replaced with 2.5" and flow masters. The original exhaust manifolds are still in place with 2" exhaust for the first 24" I am not racing the car 🤫 just curious if there are headers that work with the stock power steering and starter. They would not be visible from above, blocked by the spark shields and the car has been changed from a R1 to aR3 clone, -heads so is by no means a show car and will be a driver.

The fuel inlet to the tank had not been connected. I pulled the back seat to get to the tank and found this plumbing on top of the tank with 2 rubber lines cut off but going up on the passenger side into the headlining. the metal tubing comes out like a vent on the left and on the right, making a loop and connecting to each other with a t in the middel and a rubber line coming out but cut off after a couple inches. this is not shown in the repair manual or the parts catalog. Lots of questions I have. lol

no engine or transmission in either. both have titles. I bought both for some parts for my project.

There is a local place here in Idaho that still rebuilds them. They put in new bearings checked it and the voltage regulator

The heads are not r3s with the proper casting number as I suspected. he has added parts to make it look like it. The engine has been rebuilt but without reciepts so have no idea of the internals. I put a bore scope in each cylinder and the piston tops are new and you can see honing marks on the walls. No oil in the engine yet and bore scope in through the drain plug all is as if it has never run. mystery oil in each piston going to use an old distributor to spin up oil pressure and then spin the motor without plug before trying to start up.

I have no idea of what all has been done. I will check for the casting numbers this evening after work. Its always an adventure to come on board after the fact and not have the original worker around to talk about what parts and procedures have been done.

Putting together a 63 that was started by a friend that has passed away. Almost all is new and looks to be R3. I am at a loss as to the purpose of this plate other than as a place for the alternator bracket.
