Thank you very much for your prompt response and help -I will probably put a tube running downward so it doesn’t spit up -currently having a problem with car overheating due to to fan relay not working right

On my 1983 it has a small white plastic coolant overflow tank - there is on black hose connected to the radiator hose running from the tank with a plastic cap on it. The other end of the tank has no hose just an opening for the hose. Should there be a hose on that and does it function as an external drain to the ground Outside the car or should it be connected to something. Fyi There is an LT1 engine in this car if that makes a difference. Appreciate any help.or advise Thank you

Did you purchase a new sending unit and from where?

My gas guage seems to be stuck on half a tank no matter how much gas is in the car. normally when it’s full it’s on 3/4 of a tank and when it gets near empty it’s around 1/4 of a tank I was living with that, but now it’s stuck. I don’t know if it’s a fuse , the guage or float in the tank. Oddly once in awhile when I start the car Iit will go to full then back to 1/2. not a mechanic any advice would be appreciated thank you

I have some cooper white wall tires on my 1983 Avanti and they're starting to crack even though they Don't have much mileage on them Are cokers any good Any advice would be appreciated Many thanks A83
