Avanti Wheels into Motown. Again.
Last in Metro Detroit in Summer 1995, Avanti Owners Association International again wheels into Metro Detroit, the host city of our international convention in 2024.
The names, they are many: Motown, The Motor City, The D, Tiger Town, Hitsville USA, Hockeytown, Automotive Capital of the World are but a few. And, after September 2024 Detroit will be named AOAI 2024 Detroit!
This year’s host hotel is Embassy Suites Detroit-Livonia/Novi, conveniently located 21 minutes from the Detroit Metro Airport, 28 minutes to Detroit’s downtown and 22 minutes to The Henry Ford – home of Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum, placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. And, get ready for a visit to The Henry Ford – one of several tours planned for AOAI 2024 Detroit next September.
Welcome Reception? There’s a complimentary one—every evening—for hotel guests. What a better way to wind down after a day filled with seminars, the Avanti automobile and its many iterations, and like-minded Avanti enthusiasts, and friends of past and those newly found!
A preliminary week-at-a glance schedule is found below, along with a convention registration form on page 42. Remember: registrations on or before January 31, 2024, qualify for a random drawing of one-free night at Embassy Suites Detroit.
Attention vendors, your reservation at Embassy Suites entitles you to complimentary vendor tables and chairs in the Ambassador Room during the convention—details to follow.
Nightly rates at Embassy Suites are $129* for a single king bed and $139* for two double beds. All room rates include a complimentary breakfast and evening reception; all rooms are two-room suites, and non-smoking. As in past conventions, the host hotel offers us the same nightly rate two days before and after our convention dates—use this opportunity to come early, stay late, enjoy Metro Detroit, and visit its many historical and automotive sites.
Host hotel rooms are guaranteed at the published rates and will be accepted at those rates until August 10; after August 10, rooms will be on an “as available basis.”
