mfg Posted March 3, 2017 Author Report Posted March 3, 2017 The answer here is FALSE!....The exhaust system on the few and far between '85 model Avantis has larger pipes ahead of the cat, and much smoother bends...I believe that at least some of the '84's were also like this. The '81-'83 Avanti factory exhaust setup was MUCH more restrictive!
