After watching the YouTube video of 63R1001, the first production Studebaker Avanti, being delivered to the Lemay Museum after its detailed restoration, I noticed there did not seem to be any door weatherstripping (seals) on the inside of the passenger door....there is also a good view of this odd omission on page 34 of AVANTI MAGAZINE Issue 183.

I doubt if Jimmy Bell's shop could have forgotten these seals....Could the seals possibly been NLA at the time of this Avanti's restoration?

They did,  in my humble opinion, a first class job restoring this historic Studebaker Avanti!

Afterthought.....Could the earliest production Studebaker Avantis have been built without the normal door weatherseals?
