BillyBob
What is known (e.g. color, grain, gloss, fit, etc.) about the seat covers sold by Auto Interior Systems?
Guest dapy
I could not figure out what they offered for a Studebaker Avanti, but it looked like the price might be about $700-$800 for front and back. Question about color matching. FWIW my 1989 goes tomorrow for front seats redo. They will be matching color leather same as in rear. If I had these seats completely rebuilt in vinyl the price would be ~$450 per seat. In a 1989 they are six way power seats so more complicated than stock Stude seats. BillyBob
Yes, you've got the price about right & I know color match on a 50+ year installation is a challenge. Fit and grain are my biggest concerns. Studebaker Intl offers seat covers - I suspect AIS may be their source. Now, if I can only figure how to correct my typo in the subject line... It is info on vinyl seat covers I seek. AIS has 2 types of pleats, heat sealed & sewn; I have sewn. More input is welcomed!
