About Me

My wife and I are on our 4th Avanti: '63 R1, '64 R2, '81 (totalled in a fire); and now the '84. I am a retired naval aviator with degrees in mechanical engineering and network engineering; but my real love has always been all things automotive and motorcycles. I guess you could say I'm an old school gearhead. Current projects include a Suzuki Samurai engine upgrade, a Turbo Lebaron coupe upgraded to Shelby Daytona specs, and a '67 BMW R69S restoration. My wife's father and oldest brother worked on the original Studebaker Avanti production for the entire run.
