I'm restoring my 63 R-1, and it looks like the tranny needs replacing. Wondering if a good used one is out there.

he says he's tied up until next year. but he'll squeeze me in if he gets a free day. i'll ask him about the tow.

thanks guys! he's pretty far from me, about 80 miles. but i'll give him a call. i wonder if hagerty would tow it out there (i'm a member of the drivers club).

any pictures? how far from drivable? the craigslist ad is for just the one car.

I just bought a 63 r1/auto that's been sitting for 20 years or so. It's only got 19000 miles, and ran fine when parked. I'd like to find someone who knows these cars to get it started and go through it, although it looks like it was run yesterday. I know the brakes aren't working, but I imagine that could be a fluid issue. Any recommendations for knowledgeable mechanics within say a 100-mile radius of Lee?
