  1. This is really for Silverstude: I am going to visit my grandsons in Falls Church tomorrow. I can bring the 60 page book with me and you can look at and/or copy it if you like. Please let me know today as I leave to catch a plane early in the morning. I was given the electrical guide bythe person I purchased the car from. It is specific to the 1987 Avanti but there is a label on the book that states it is mostly the same for the 1988 and 1989 models. Bob
  2. Hi Jim, If you are not in a big hurry, I can scan the pages and email them to you. I am leaving to spend time with my grandsons for the next 2 weeks and I can scan the pages when I return if you can wait. That way it won't cost you anything. Bob

  4. What workshop manual do you have and where do you order it? Thanks, Bob
  5. I have about a 60 page book that has the electrical circuits block diagrams for the 1987 Avanti. If anyone wants a copy, I am happy to get it copied and just ask to be reimbursed for the copying and shopping charges. Bob G.
  6. Are your window regulators working? Do you want to sell them? I need the front drivers window motor but would be willing to buy all of them.
  7. I decided to go to an upholstery shop and they made a cover for me. It has to be removed for driving as I didn't want them to install buttons on the dash. Since I live in So. Calif., it gets pretty hot during the summer (94 today). This is light weight and easy to take on and off.
  8. I have a 1987 convertible. I am wondering what is available to cover the seats when the car is outside. I have the boot. I don't want to put in snaps on the car. Any good solutions? Thanks, Bob
  9. I actually had a long talk with my mechanic and told him I really wanted my original unit rebuilt. He had one of his technicians build a new frame around the control unit and mount the fan controller to the frame. It works perfectly and looks like the original. Thanks everyone for your assistance, Bob
  10. Thanks Daniel. I have put in as much as 11 gallons. Your experience confirms what I have seen.
  11. That would explain the reduced gas capacity.
  12. hi Stacey, That would be great. I can't put more than 13 gallons in mine.
  13. Dan, Did you have a chance to fill your gas tank to determine it's capacity? Thanks, Bob
  14. My problem is with the fan switch lever. It has come off and fallen behind the face plate. Can this be fixed if we remove the unit?
  15. Hi Daniel, Thanks for sending these photos. My mechanic doesn't think he can repair my unit. Any idea where I might be able to get a replacement? Thanks, Bob
  16. Hi Dan, I tried scanning the page out of the Owners Manual and have attached it. Not very clear. It is not functional in my car and according to the manual is either a fog light switch or rear window defogger. Hope that helps. Bob
  17. Daniel, Thanks so much for this info. If you can possibly send pictures when you get a chance, I would greatly appreciate it. Bob
  18. The fan control on my 1987 Convertible is loose and appears to not be attached to the housing. Can you remove the climate control without taking out the dash? Any ideas as to how to repair it? Thanks
  19. I recently obtained a 1987 Convertible. It seems like the fuel capacity of the car is only 13 gallons. Does anyone know what it is supposed to be?
