I've never seen a round headlight Avanti II. It would have made you do a double take with the round headlights and Avanti II lack of rake/front fender filler.

What was the top speed recorded on runs with the R3-powered Hawk? An R2 Hawk ran 140mph at Bonnevile, an R2 Avanti topped out at 158mph, and an R3 Avanti reached 178mph.
-
Anybody know what became of the R3-powered Hawk? Was it taken to Bonneville or sold privately?
-
I've never heard of an R3-powered Hawk being built, so I will say two R4's.

False. Was the Turner system even offered in the early 1980's? Avanti Motor Corporation ended up using GM brake hardware, I believe.

Wow, I got one right! When I got my Avanti I thought that I had a problem with my door switches. After much problem solving I concluded that the interior lights on my 63 aren't supposed come on as the door opens. So what purpose do the door switches have?
Do Stude Avantis have a buzzer that sounds if you open the door with the key in the ignition?

I’ll say, “This one’s for real” was not used.

Was it owned by Raymond Loewy?

I think the parking brake moved to the center console in 1976, and since engineers like to combine major design changes, I'll say 1976 model year.
Edit--I missed it by one year. It looks like the PW switches were moved starting in 1975.

Last Avanti II with a Powershift automatic?

Was it the Avanti II with the supercharged small block Chevy?

False.

The first thought I had was that this was a plausible reason for the change to square headlights.

I'll say 383 and 410.

Does anybody have a photo of a Stude Avanti with these factory optional wire wheel covers? I don't think I've ever heard of this or seen a photo.

I'll guess 3) 3800 lbs, which would be the early published curb weight of 3100 lbs plus 700 lbs for occupants, cargo, and gas.
