Do all the years stated in this group (84-91) use shielding over the distributor and wires like the original Avanti/Avnti II?

I know of a (Cancun, 2003?), Avanti, a 90 4dr and an 87 that do not use shielding to prevent radio static...all three have fiberglass bodies....how is this possible? (I hoping there is a AM/FM radio available that does not required the shielding).....is that possible?

Are there any modern audio systems that do not require the shielding to prevent radio static?.....I'm looking for an AM/FM radio for my 79 Avanti II.

After having my 79 "Tuned Up" professionally, I have a lot or radio static....any articles you point me to on this topic?
