grobb284 Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 I have recently cut out a left and right Studebaker Avanti hog troughs. They are the outer skins, cut at the rocker panel, with all rivits ground off and pressed out. The end caps are there, as well as the small boxes for the roll bar. We did not remove the piece vertical under the rockers. These parts are surface rusted, they are 45 years old. However, they are extremely solid, as the cutoff line at the rocker panel will attest to. They are perhaps suitable for repairing damaged hog troughs, or for a cosmetic covering, or as templates. They are not suitable for a complete replacement installation, as the vertical piece is not provided. Photos available via email. $150 + shipping, available for pickup if in the area, or best offer. The hog troughs were removed to accomodate the exhaust for mounting on the new Stainless Seel Avanti Frame. The hog troughs were satisfactory before removal.
