Transmission shift cable

Need to replace broken automatic shift cable on 1989 Avanti.  Looked at various late 80's Chevrolet parts but haven't seen anything looks similar.  Anyone know what model and year the original part was made for or even better a part # for a replacement? Also the plastic piece that covers the tunnel hole where the cable comes through is broken. Appreciate any help I can get.

Have you tried looking at a shift cable from an 1988 Monte Carlo or Gran National with floor shift?    Have you removed the old cable to compare it to whats available?   Lou Cote
