dixchief
trying to finish my 63. the motor/tranny was pulled at the engine rebuild shop years ago. i got it back minus the tranny cross member (found one since0 now i need the driveshaft. I have a drive shaft that I THINK belongs. 3" diameter. end U eye to end U eye is approx 46". Is this the right shaft? can't find the tranny (auto) splined end for the shaft. need help finding this. easier to buy one than hunt endlessly for original. PackardV8
While I don't have the exact specs in hand, the Stude yoke is dirt-common, used by dozens of other makes over the forty-year-production life of the B-W automatic. I'd think any tranny rebuild shop would have several in a bucket somewhere there (yours is most likely among them.) jack vines Edited February 22, 2018 by PackardV8
