schuyler Posted February 20, 2017 Report Posted February 20, 2017 On a 1963 ( round headlights ) Avanti is there a drain hole in the headlight bucket for condensation? If so, where is it? How do you clean it? What do you put in it so it " weeps "? I looked in both the parts and sevice manuals and did not see it mentioned. Thank you in advance!
mtgibby Posted February 21, 2017 Report Posted February 21, 2017 The hole is small and very close to the front. There is a wicking plug, but I hear a clean, peeled cigarette butt will work as well.

schuyler Posted March 4, 2017 Author Report Posted March 4, 2017 mtgibby & abasile. Thank you so much for your suggestions! I took the filters off of 2 new cigarettes that I begged from a smoker friend. I shaved off the filters brown wrapper to get to the white filter material. I stripped off some of the white filter material to get it to the proper diameter and "walla" it went right into the "drain" hole. It looks very factory. I bet any judge could not tell the difference from the NOS piece! I must tell you how CAREFUL I was to NOT drop the original glass covers when removing and reinstalling them. Don't tell any judges ( Al Basile ) that I did this! BTW, if you do this be ready explain what you doing with the filters to a unknowing smoker friend!
