avantiman
Hi Avanti 4-door lovers; The Cassette Player in my 1990 Avanti 4-Door Touring Sedan is starting to give me some problems and I want to change it out for a radio with a CD Player instead. The job looks simple until you get started. The facade plate (velcro attached) comes right off. Then there is a series of forward facing screws which look as if they would allow the radio to slide right out. Unfortunately this isn't the case. My fear is that the entire center console might have to be removed and I don't want to just whack away at it which may cause other problems. Does anybody have a shop manual giving the proper procedure for the radio removal in the sequence of build (#48) I am driving. Later models just slide out, but mine won't do that. I would appreciate any help I can get on this subject, or how can I get a shop manual for the model build I am driving??? Many Thanks, Gary Walters e-mail: 90avanti@charter.net phone: (702) 683-6321 or (435) 674-1674 I'm in St George, Utah
