426 Elephant Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago 1963 Studebaker Avanti R2 4 speed. One of only 1,833 examples produced for the 1963 and 1964 model years with a Paxton-supercharged R2 289ci V8 - and one of only 643 units that are reported to have paired the R2 powerplant with a four-speed manual transmission. The car had an engine out repaint in factory correct Avanti Red in 2024 and the seats were redone with new padding and new black vinyl covers. Front and rear bumpers were rechromed as well. Other work done under current ownership involved replacement of the engine mounts, rear main seal, engine gaskets, belts, heater hoses, battery, fuel pump, flywheel, clutch, throw-out bearing, brake master cylinder, control-arm bushings, and new bias ply Firestone tires from Coker Tires. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, power- assisted front disc brakes, power steering, Avanti wheel covers, dual chrome exterior mirrors, a push button AM radio, floor mats, and a Beauty Vanity. This R2 is now offered with a copy of the Passenger Car Production Order, an owner's manual, service records from current and prior ownership, and a clean Ohio title in the seller's name. Price reduced to $72,500.
