mfg Posted November 30, 2023 Report Posted November 30, 2023 (edited) Can anyone name the '84 Avanti front nose panel treatment that was returned... reminiscent of the original '63 Studebaker Avanti front nose panel 'look'? Edited November 30, 2023 by mfg added text
Geoff Posted November 30, 2023 Report Posted November 30, 2023 This will be an interesting answer to learn. Are you specifying the angled fascia panel housing the headlights? "Avanti" badge. No more "II" designation. That's my guess. I'll do an early nod with my Blake; move the turn indicators back to the 'pontoons'. Then install Hella FF75 (driving or fog pattern) or similar where Blake put the turn indicators. Extra light helps in dark New England nights.

P S........Like your idea of moving turn signals back to leading fender edges...and installing driving lights in the vacated bumper locations!
Geoff Posted December 6, 2023 Report Posted December 6, 2023 (edited) Oh! Interior headlight bezels were painted body color. [edited] If somebody were to desire the chrome appearance without using chrome, turn to paint. The world's "mirroriest" paint. It's costly, at $50 for 15ml but that amount covers 64 sq. ft. https://www.culturehustleusa.com/products/mirror Edited December 6, 2023 by Geoff Added content

The area around headlight (under glass cover) was painted the exterior body color on 'round light' Stude Avantis..... Avanti Motors returned that look in '84 when the surround enclosing the 'new' rectangular headlight bulbs was also painted the exterior body color!
