 IF  you follow the comments on the earlier thread to this discussion, I did not respond with what we did.

The torque converter had been rebuilt incorrectly so we discovered this when we took it apart and cut it open.

It was completely redone and reinstalled.  We set the valves to .024 cold and used stiff springs under the metering rods

The car will chirp the tires in first gear and performs like a swiss watch.  Thanks everyone for weighing in.

BTW the heads and cam were redone on this car. The block and crank are new.  The heads are nmatched, ported and dpolished as is the

intake and exhaust manifold.
