warren55 Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 One of the many things I'm trying to figure out. The wiring has been butchered up, so I'm not sure what was there originally. I have the orange wire going to the solenoid in the transmission, but no power. It looks like there were originally more than two wires to the switch, but I would think all it would need is power to the switch and the wire going to the solenoid to work. I ran a jumper to it, checked the switch with a voltmeter and it's getting 12.5 volts to the solenoid wire when engaged but I don't hear any clicking. I don't want to condemn the solenoid until I know I'm not missing something. Any other wires need to go to that switch?
Charlie Kile Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Double check the grounds! The engine and tranmission are mounted in rubber. Try a seperate ground wire directly to the transmission from the battery. charlieRQB3921
warren55 Posted April 10, 2013 Author Report Posted April 10, 2013 It turns out that just because you can't hear it click doesn't mean it's not working. Hooked it up to power and took it for a drive, works fine! Probably because I just ordered a new one...
