calmar
I replaced the brake shoes on my 64 r2. Now that the wheels are back on, what is the easiest way to adjust them? When I jacked up the car, I was unable to rotate the wheel. I'm sure I have overlooked something very elementary but don't know what it is. Any help about how to adjust the brakes will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, J.
jeffgrohs
Back off the adjustment ( concentrics ) until the shoes are the closest to the center. Make sure parking brake is off and car is in neutral. You may also have to play with the vertical alignment of the shoes - shift them up and down. You should be able to tell that alignment is right when you put the drum on. Jeff I replaced the brake shoes on my 64 r2. Now that the wheels are back on, what is the easiest way to adjust them?
