Guest dapy
Is there a source for a reprint of the original Studebaker Avanti owners book that I assume came with the new cars? The museum does not list them.

okc63avanti
Studebaker International has reprinted owner's manuals, shop manuals, and chassis manuals, they also have accessories guide booklet that came in glove box when purchased new. Here's there website: http://www.studebaker-intl.com/ Here's a snapshot photo of a search I did using there online catalog for a 63 avanti (you didn't specify which year) showing there part nos. and pricing. Guest dapy
Thank you. I ordered an Owner's Handbook from Studebaker International. When I get it I will know how to start my (new) Avanti.

Guest dapy
Prayer helps too. Turns out money may help too. 1000 miles on an open transport in the rain is bad for a fine old car. Now that I have the car, and the Owner's Manual, not covered is the location of the Paxton supercharger dip stick and filler.
J Boyle
When I had my Avanti delivered in an enclosed car trailer it was February. The night before the delivery the transport spent the night in Wyoming or Montana. The poor car was cold-soaked and took forever to start. Not the transport firm's fault...but it was a bit embarassing for that to be my wife's first impresssion of the new old car.
