jeffdgale Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) Please see attached photo. Can anyone confirm that this is the kick down switch for the SBC 400 with the TMH400? And if so can it be adjusted. Seem like I really got to push hard on the pedel to engage downshift and sometimes it doesn't even engage. With inspection it appears that when the throttle swivels around it doesn't make good contact to the push in button on the switch. Any advice or knowledge appreciated. ernier Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 The switch on a '69 Grand Prix I had was a sliding affair that allowed part throttle downshifts. If the Avanti is just a switch for full throttle shifts only adjusting it for better contact should solve your problem. ErnieR Please see attached photo. jeffdgale Posted March 2, 2009 Author Report Posted March 2, 2009 what's the trick to getting the insert image to work?
jmenacker Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 what's the trick to getting the insert image to work? Where are you hosting the picture? Most image hosting sites have a link for inserting images directly into a bulletin board message. I usually just past the "image" code directly into the body of a message. It should look something like this: {IMG}http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a43/jmenacker/SDC-Meet-Martinsburg/MyersAvanti.jpg{/IMG} except with square brakets around the IMG code instead of curly brackets.
