MarcH1974
We have an '84 and it recently started dying intermittently. Sometimes it works start right back up, sometimes it had to sit for a while first. We got into it and found that it has the block mounted mechanical fuel pump and an electric pump mounted between the tank and the motor. So my question is, was this a factory setup? dynolou2
I have an 85 Touring Coupe, it has only the block mounted fuel pump. You need to replace your old with one that is compatable with alcohol laced gas. with the high mounted fuel tank, any diaphram failure can fill the crankcase with gas. In 2009 I replaced my old pump with Airtex 41378. Lou Cote
