jmenacker
We've enjoyed this car for six years but now its time for RQB 3496 to find a new home. 350 SBC built by local race engine shop. Custom three-row raidiator - no more overheating in stop and go traffic! Transmission converted from auto to six speed Tremec T56 from a Trans Am. Leather replaced on front seats, door panels and headliner. MB Wool carpet installed on floors and trunk. A/C system completely rebuilt with R12 and blows very cold air. LED tail lights. Replaced front brake pads. Replaced rear brake shoes and retaining hardware. Full 2-1/4" dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. Remote oil filter (accesible through drivers front wheel well. Holley spread bore 650 CFM carb. Replaced steering bell crank, installed quick steering arms, replaced steering hoses, shocks and had font end aligned. Installed Cibie fog lights. Installed Autometer "Phantom" gauges. Replaced passenger side hog trough with stainless steel unit from Classic Enterprises. Thrilling to look at and drive. We love this car very much. Its now too nice to drive daily and health issues prevent us from attending too many car shows. This is a very solid and beautiful example of a late Altman Avanti but not a concours car. Over $30K invested. Asking $19,900. Judy or Joe Menacker jmenacker@earthlink.net Link to slideshow . . .
