WKR
I was just wondering if anyone has had to access the turn signal switch on an Avanti II with the AMC tilt steering column? My turn signal lever has worked a little loose and I was looking at the horn button and trying to see if you just pry it up or if there is some sort of tool needed to lift it off so you can remove the steering wheel to get at the turn switch lever mounting to tighten the lever back down. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to screw up the horn relay and have to track one down. Bill Reely RQB 1911
Rudy Korb
Bill, If your steering wheel and horn button is the same as on my 1971, then the rubber horn button pulls straigt off. Don't try twisting it or you stand the chance of tearing off the rubber tabs that hold it in place. It will take a little wiggling, but it comes off fairly easy.
