Aren’t the Saginaw boxes touted as superior in feel to the Rosses?

I am looking to take some weight/complexity/ leaking hoses off the front of my Avanti. Has anyone installed a Saginaw manual box off a 63-64 Lark? I have an entire setup from box/pitman arm/bellcrank to tie rods. Best I can tell the shaft could be cut and rag joint fitted to make the existing column work.
Is the mounting of the Saginaw box different than a Ross?

I do not believe that the pictures are showing a large amount of "filler". You are looking at the thickness of the broken fiberglass panel that makes up the "overlay" for a fender, etc.
I don't think it is metal firebird underneath that filler but fiberglass. I included another picture plus supersized one.

The damage on the passenger front extended into the engine bay. There was popped fiberglass there with missing filler. This image was on the craigslist ad but not the eBay ad.
Dad got some more pictures of the back from the guy- look at how much filler the factory put on these cars!
I thought it was a 4-6K car but who knows!

No hog troughs on the Monte Carlo style- that would be an 87-88 avanti. I haven't looked at a caprice framed car but I am sure it is the same.
The rear frame rails are modified as well from the monte carlo- just after the rear axle hump they cut and rewelded them heading closer together. This leaves a bump of frame sticking out which is why you often see these cars with wheels sticking out of the rear fender wells- to get anything of width on the rear you have to go wider outwards. The wheel wells are effectively smaller than on 63-85 models.
There was a 63 on craigslist a few years ago that supposedly had a g-body frame grafted to the studebaker at the firewall. Never got any pictures of that but it is a plausible swap.

I have been meaning to email them to see if they would comment on fitment/price of the frame. I bet it was expensive.

I thought NOVI 2000's were tapped into the Oil Pan. You sure it isn't a SN-2000?

I had the opportunity this week to try and tighten up the door gaps on the Kelly 1987 Avanti #142 and repair the passenger power window. See the registry here: http://www.studebake...v0142x0911.html
Passenger Door panel had this underneath, looks like the assembler's initials and a date:

This car was sold with 332 miles on 5/6/88 in Youngstown, Ohio. Google maps says a general distance from South Bend to Youngstown is 313 miles. Looks like it was the last car produced in the old Studebaker factory.

Any idea on the part number for the evaporator core? Or regular application?
