[87 radiator]

I have a 87 convertible - need to change out radiator. Label is gone. I believe it is different than the standard chevy that came with monte carlo originally. Anyone no the stats? - thanks

[Trunk lift gas struts....where to get new ones]

Hello again.....on my '89 Avanti Convertible it has two gas struts to lift the trunk lid. The lid is pretty heavy and the struts have apparently given up enough of the ghost that they dont budge it.....so opening the trunk with the electric push button in the armrest console is a two person job! Can anyone give me some advice on where to get two new gas struts to lift the trunk lid? The units have the following numbers on them via blue stuck on labels: 4683 in the upper left hand corner of the little blue label on the strut tube and also 16706 in the upper right corner of same little blue label. Any advice on where to go to get two new ones?? tks again! Ed in Knoxville.

There are switchs that will work but they won't have that OEM gloss black look and you may have to move terminals. If you want I can try and get a part number for you.

Jim - Thanks for the offer. I am not a big fix it type guy so moving terminals sounds a bit out of my league. I have been able - or a friend of mine - to stretch the internal springs and that has helped. just looking to replace them all and have the original black look. A part number of a replacement that you mentioned would be good just in case needed. - Thanks - warren

I have searched without luck to find replacement toggle window switches for my 87 Avanti. Jim W gave me a lead and they helped with one item but not the switches. Any info or possible paths to follow would be greatly appreciated. - Warren

Jim - Thanks for the info - They did not have the window switch but did have a washer tank for a 85 - not sure if this is the same for a 87 but they are trying to research. Have a great day - warren

Hi Bruce - at this time, our 87 is in chevy chase maryland. probably will move it to the Luray, va. area where we also have a 53 slightly custom buick convertible named gracie. Maybe the 3 of us including the folks from martinsburg can get together sometime. Hope all is great with you- warren

Hi All - I recently purchased a 1987 all white convertible. All is fine accept 2 initial issues. I am looking for a supplier for the window on and off switches? Washer fluid container is cracker and also looking to replace that before I attempt to repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Located in Maryland and I do not see a local group - anyone out there every have a get together?
