For sale: 1977 Avanti II. Garage kept. 350 CID Corvette engine. The engine was completely rebuilt about 7,000 miles ago. No leaks. It runs perfect. A/C converted to R134A. Everything works as it should except the interior A/C fan behind the vents. Needs a paint job, as the current one is peeling. The tires are like new, only about 500 miles on them. No issues with the hog troughs. 125,104 miles. Located in Milton, Pa. $11,000

I have an opportunity to buy one, along with the factory 289 block,intake manifold, and everything, torn down complete with supercharger. My question is how much is the R3 airbox worth alone. Thanks in advance for any answers I receive!

It's all good. I just wondered what the reason was because that was the only question he asked me. I tried typing the van in on eBay when I listed it but it wouldn't let me... but I have sent a picture of the VIN two interested buyers on eBay since then. Not trying to keep it secret or anything. I guess I should have just messaged the VIN number back but anyways the car is still for sale if anyone here is interested. I live in PA. I've owned it since 95. I'll probably post it on this site for sale. I haven't been on this site in years and I forgot about it but it's probably a good site to list an Avanti for sale.

I had the shaft that's attached to the fan come unattached somehow today when I was driving my 63 R1. I'm not sure what broke but I cut the belt to try to get the fan off to drive it home the rest of the way, cause it was just wobbling around and grinding against the fan shroud but I still couldn't get the fan shaft and pulley that it goes through out of the hole it goes into so I had to trailer it home. Anyone ever had this happen? It doesn't seem like a big deal...something I can fix pretty easily. I'm just hoping i can find the belt easily and any other part I have to replace.

Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for. I don't need it for the Bristol Studebaker show that I talked about before, because I'm going to take my 1977 Avanti instead of my 1981 but I'd like to have one by the Lancaster Studebaker Meet in August, since I'm taking the 81 to that. Where did you get that one?

Does anyone here know where i can purchase a bra for an Avanti? I called Nostalgic and they don't sell them anymore. I'm going on a 500+ mile trip to Bristol Tennessee for a Studebaker car show and want to put one on for the trip down there to protect the front end from paint chips. Also, if anyone has any experience with them, how hard is installation?
