the corvete did not break 196 till after 1986 or so so i would say 23 years or more 1963-1986???

get one from sasco in south bend it has a bog warner trany in so it might be diff. from chevy

I never heard of GM using two different flexplates. I would assume that
the part would have a number on it, or some other distingishing feature.
You could measure the distance between the teeth on the gear, and then
go to the parts store and measure the new part.

I have an 81 AvantiII that has been sitting for over 12 years. To re-register it, California wants proof it is the same car listed on the title. Unfortunately, the VIN tag on the dash is missing.
Could you provide insight on where I can look for another VIN tag on the frame or elsewhere?

take door panels off number should be there like 3499 that would make it rqb3499 or look under rear seat then go to dan at avantiparts.net for production numbers $20.00 ??? or so
