[Valve covers vs wire shield]

Thanks for the pictures Leo B. I do not have anywhere near the room you show berween the valve cover and shield. 

Looks like I need to play with the mounts.

Purchased the engine dress up valve and valley covers. Found out quickly that I could either have the new valve covers or the wire shield but not both. Am I missing something on the install? 

[Gas door]

New to the forum

When I painted the body I made a few mistakes, one being removing the gas door. Thought it would be one less problem - wrong. Now I am re-assembling the car and finding out I do not have anyway of attaching the snapped off screws to hold the door to the body. I have removed a protion of the interior fibreglass suround and see where the screws were and a piece of white plastic(?) holding the bracket to the body. 

Any help on attaching the door - epoxy ? drywall screws ?
