Cheers, Scott, always a pleasure to see your beautiful Avanti! Bob

Methinks that no air movement is part of the original design (charm) of an Avanti. 😏 Mine don't flow much if any (63R 3062). Hot air from the engine bay is also a problem...try to seal the firewall openings.

NAPA carries the 3EE (just got a new one - part of their "Commercial" line)- not sure if there are NAPA stores in your country, though.
-
2002 copyright update cover has an Egg...not sure if this is the latest reprint, though.

I recall seeing Prestolite ads...#4

'Doghouse' is a term used to describe the front body components of a car...taken as an assembly, Usually the two front fenders (with or without hood), inner fender skirts, radiator core support, and front grill and/or header panel.
Thank you so much...got it now!
-
What is a "doghouse" in automotive parlance?
-
Great series of videos-thanks so much for sharing!

First Avanti equipped with quiet tone mufflers.

I believe that the switches are the same...so, one.

False

Found it: 1) Gulf (Ontario)

I always thought that it was 15 cu feet...so I'll vote for the next best thing - 4) fourteen

2) Sports Car Graphic - just read the article on The Avanti website

Comprehensive, but condensed article about the Avanti history in Automobile magazine...https://www.automobilemag.com/news/studebaker-avanti-history-photos/

Yes, after even a short run with 63R3062 the interior shifter metal gets very hot, indeed. Part of the Avanti's charm...😁. Thahks for the info that the cooling kit doesn't work with early 63s with AC.

My 1963 Avanti R1 has been invited to the Concours of America near Detroit and I need my car transported from SW Michigan and back. Would prefer enclosed...any other haulers of note in the midwest? Any info appreciated, Bob

Does SI still sell the spray cans? If so, you could spray some into a small container and dip a touchup brush.
I'll check..thanks for the idea

Thanks for your response, SI doesn't list touchup paint online or in their catalog. Yup, I'm aware of the nature of metallics not matching, but, as you say, better than a chip. I'll probably have to get it computer color matched. Love your Avanti trivial section on AOAI...best

Is anyone aware or have recommendations of a seller for bottles of Avanti Turquoise (P-6332) touch up paint? I've been looking and no luck. Plan B is to have the color scanned, but the car is unavailable right now. Thanks, Bob

Covercraft also fits well and generally cheaper than CCC.

I had the same problem with my Avanti and added a slim additional gasket (still looks stock) to the stock trunk lid gasket and the problem was solved. The Old gasket, though pliable, didn't have enough "meat" to completely seal the trunk from exhaust fumes.

Covercraft for my 1963 Avanti fits well - many fabrics from which to choose.
