  1. On my 71, you have to take the A/C front panel off, then take out all the screws along the edges of each panel. But, then you have to look inside the A/C panel recess. There is a nut that holds the chrome trim to the panel just above where the trim makes it's right angle. They left a hole so you can get a socket on the little nut. I had to enlarge the hole a bit.It is a small size. Good luck. Al

  2. The car was driven when low or out of gear oil in the steering box. It has a definite pull and flat spot when turning left. So, I would think the worm gear is worn in one place. I have adjusted the drag or resistance on the box at the adjustment nut, so the car drives,but not real happy about the handling. The front end parts seem in to have been rebuilt when previous owners redid the car some years ago.So.....
