walterjim 0 Report post Posted August 6 I'm looking for a voltage regulator for a '63 Avanti. The current regulator is pictured. It has three connections on the frontand one on the back. Thanks!
studegary 0 Report post Posted August 7 What you pictured appears to me to be an aftermarket part. SI's catalog lists a replacement regulator for a 1963 Avanti.

Gunslinger 0 Report post Posted August 8 The voltage regulator used on a '66 Avanti with a GM engine and alternator would not be correct for a Studebaker Avanti with a Prestolite alternator. It would be far more easily obtained but its specs are wrong.
walterjim 0 Report post Posted August 9 I ordered a Prestolite VBV-6221C that was mentioned as a replacement on the SDC forum. It appears to be exactly the one in the pic above. I'll let you know how it works out.
