  11. John when you say screw on Tribars.. you are not talking about threaded? The original design is just pressed in with an O ring.correct The repro wheels with Tri Bars are press in. This would be the second time a tribar came off on this car. (I just bought it and I dont know if it is the same wheel where the TriBar flew off) Even the producer of Real Rodders wheels suggested using Aquarium Glue or a thicker O ring. I understand the reason for not using a set screw in that the position of the TriBar could block the lug nut for extracting the wheel.. but on this particular
  12. WHO OUT THERE HAS HALIBRANDS WITH SPINNERS THAT HAVE FLOWN OFF? My former owner lost one and I lost another Real Rodders wheels says this was original design held on by an O ring You can 1) Get Acquarium sealer and put 2 dabs inside 2) Get a Bigger O ring My solution... LIKE AMERICAN RACING WITH SPINNERS.. DRILL AND USE A SET SCREW WEIGH IN AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Hi Friends: What brand of draw through pump with 3/8 Inch fittings, 5-7 PSI , 12 volt to be used in line only as a primer We used a MR. GASKET Pump.. With the Pump off AND WHEN YOU ACCELERATE, the pump is restrictive and starves the carbuertor so you have to keep the fuel pump on.. I just need a primer pump to use when the car sits for a long while.. Thanks Keith
  14. problem solved switches bad in courtesy lights.. bypassed the switch and wired to the door switch and under dash switch Doors open all lights come on Doors Closed, use courtesy light switch.. Booya! all works Thanks guys
  15. MYSTERY SOLVED SWITCH WAS WIRED INTO A RELAY FOR THE FAN AND AIR-CON AND DREW TOO MUCH CURRENT BLEW FUSE...REWIRED RELAY AND GOT PROPER FUSE.. ALL GOOD!
  16. 1963 R2 has been converted to Airconditoning with Factory Vent Plate, Temp Switch and Rheostat control.. The rheostat switch worked for about a second Have Not put a meter on it.. Have not run wires to look for fuse yet.. I did find a wire that was not connected and wonder if anyone knows what this could be ?? Looks like a female spade connector end In the event this switch is dead is there any kind of replacement? Not sure if Stude International has one.. they are looking Appreciate thoughts

  18. Brad.. I’m a little slow so I did not follow your explanation...where the striker pushes in on the tooth now am i doing this before I take the door panel appart?
  19. 1963 Any tips tricks? I can get the door to lock using the inside lock.. But it will not unlock. Drivers side functions fine Appreciate....Keith
  20. My 1963 R2 Avanti arrived a few days ago and I am getting used to it. I notice the vacuum boost gauge is very slow.. It seems to get up to 10 and stays there and with the car shut off it will stay there and finally come down after 30 minute or more Wit acceleration in 4th gear and supercharger activated I do not see any register of boost (should be at least 3 to 5) I have a boost gauge on my golden hawk and I am able to see boost with acceleration. 1. Can we lube the gauge or does this take special tools/skills/repair 2. Referrals for gauge repair if needed .. a

  23. Thanks Ron.. Here is progress The courtesy light requires a single filament dual terminal bulb Not sure about courtesy lights but I believe the switch should be cleaned ..The socket seems to work with the dual filament dual terminal bulb and is not controlled by the switch.. stays on all the time.. So I will clean the switch and test with both bulbs Appreciate your help
