Back in '63, a popular car magazine (HRM) suggested gluing TWO '63 Avanti 'tiny' rearview mirrors to the windshield, one near the driver, the other near the passenger, which supposedly would improve rear visibility. StudeNorm Posted September 23, 2018 Report Share Posted September 23, 2018 The '63 split window never made it to '64 as the split was a big hindrance to rear viewability (is that a word?) and Chevy actually listened to the nay-sayers on this one.
