mfg Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 We attended a ‘Cars & Coffee’ this Sunday morning in our ‘55 Studebaker President Speedster….. I think this is a great idea!… The show ran from 7AM till 11AM… and our Stude was back in the garage before the midday heat hit… leaving time to do other things later in the afternoon… My point is this… As I get older, attending a car show midday during the summer months, with the usual New England high temperatures and humidity, is something I’ve began to avoid over the last few years… My Avantis and other Studes are non-A/C cars!… So an early morning meet seems to me to be good way to ‘beat the heat’… (not to mention there being less traffic on the roads to contend with.) This summer it’s going to be Cars & Coffee for me !!
Skip Lackie Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago I don't know about how the Cars & Coffee shows are run where you live, but around the DC area, most shows have no limits of what can be shown. As a result, many (most?) of the cars that show up are either modern expensive toys or modern daily drivers. I have no particular desire to go to a show just to see a 2025 BMW.
Guy Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Coffee and cars Chico ,Ca is awesome, always plenty of classics and a mixture of modern hotrods .
Dwight FitzSimons Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Cars & Coffee meets in Charlottesville, Va are excellent (1st & 3rd Sat, 8am - 10am). There are always dozens of interesting cars, with few modern cars, and a wide range of cars from Alpha Romeos to Wartburgs (just kidding, no Wartburgs). There always seems to be an exotic or two: Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren. Plus Twin-Cam MGA, SAAB Sonnet III, etc. --Dwight
