RHO Posted September 9 Report Share Posted September 9 1983 Avanti II trunk was hesitant to open but after three tries with the glove box switch it opened. But now it will not latch back. The rotating mechanism appears to be stuck to the passenger side of the trunk. I tried Kroil to loosen it up but that did not work. I think the metal latch needs to rotate back to the driver side but I do not want to force it. I Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bill Hanlon Posted September 10 Report Share Posted September 10 Remove the cover and put Vaseline on a folded brown bag and run it between all moving parts to lube and clean all sliding parts.
