plwindish Posted September 5, 2015 Report Share Posted September 5, 2015 I know the "ground effects" (on the sides) were added to the 89's to hide the full size Caprice frame rails, but don't know when the chin spoiler was put on the front. It could have been a running change in the 88's, but may have been to get more air into the engine compartment similar to the Saturn spoilers being installed on the Avantis.
