Problem with Joe Granatellis Cadillac install?

Some Stude Avantis are hot runners with factory 289 CI engines.....add another 140 CI using the same radiator, and engine temperature problems are no doubt inevitable in California's climate. 🥺

The article in the Avanti magazine says “the radiator was rotated 90 degrees and straightened up to a vertical plane for better cooling”.  Didn’t say whether it helped. Not sure I understand rotating it 90 degrees. Mike

I think the move to make the radiator sit vertical was made necessary to fit the Caddy engine.  The idea it was for better cooling was probably a way of explaining it in a way to justify the work.

Yes, the radiator was removed and somehow re-installed vertically....

That in itself would not effect engine cooling (IMHO)...It really comes down to creating an effective fan shroud. 🙂
