The R2 is rated 49 HP above the R1.  That would be at approximately the engine's HP peak (~5200 RPM?).  I don't think that it will add nearly that much at 3500 RPM, however.  With standard pulleys the blower adds essentially nothing until about 3000 RPM.  With high-output pulleys it comes on more like 2500 RPM.  At least, that's what I've always heard.

Using Studebaker's HP ratings for the 289-4V (225), R1 (240), & R2 (289) we note that the R2 has 49 more HP than the R1.  But, remember that the R2 has a lower compression ratio (9.0:1) than the R1 (10.25:1) so there is some drop in HP just because of the lower C.R,  So, the R2's blower would add 49 HP + the amount of HP lost from the lower C.R.  The R1 is essentially like the 289-4V except cam & C.R.  So, adding these increments yields: 10 to 15 (289-4V to R1) + 49 (R1 to R2) = 59 to 64 HP.  So let's say 60 or so HP added by the supercharger.  I know that I have oversimplified a bit, but I think this is essentially right.
