goldhawk Posted September 28, 2022 Report Share Posted September 28, 2022 I just finished putting rebuilt 289 R1 with Powershift transmission into my 1963 Avanti. This transmission has two linkage rods to connect from transmission to the shifter (or maybe somewhere else). It is very obvious where the longer transmission linkage bar goes, but not the shorter one that has a smaller linkage attachment. No problem hooking it up to the transmission bar on the transmission - where does the other end go??? I see nothing on the console shifter linkage where the other end attaches.
