best tire pressure for radial 205 75 R15 radials?

I have read a number of thoughts but wondered if there were any ones other than a 4 lb difference front to back on new road radial for my 1964 R1

You can experiment a bit and see what you find works best for you but I found that a 4 lb. difference front/back works best.

What, in y'all's experience, are the proper front and rear tire pressures?  I have a recently acquired '64 R2 Avanti with 215/70R15 BFG Radial T/A tires on 15x6 wheels.  With "handling" tires, I am more oriented toward handling than ride (or looks).  Thanks,

This is one of those questions that will elicit many different opinions. Back in the day, I raced an MGB and many told me that the pressures I was running were not right.

Actual air pressure depends on the tires.  Look at the tire's sidewall and see what the maximum cold air pressure is.  Personally I like to keep tire pressures near the maximum.    Some tires traditionally used a 32 psi max...some use 35 psi...some 44 psi and some even more.  You may have to decide what gives you the best balance of smooth ride and handling but I still suggest 4 psi in the front over the rear for an Avanti.

I myself like to run at least two lbs higher in the front where there is more weight.
